My condo only has one space that is mine, so I use the other random spaces, but annoying people with nothing to do complain if you don’t move them every day. I am a bit busy with installing all the graphics for the freakin Super Bowl so fuck off people!! So I parked it on the street with the cover on so I can be free of annoying notes. Well someone can’t park or can’t get out of a parking space and bumped it. They broke the light and bent my rear light panel, crunched the bumper brackets (which is their job). I think I can straighten the rear panel, its thin metal. Thank the gods the hatch was untouched. I have new bumper rubber and that dent below the bumper came with the car but I will not say anything. My friends Japanese car shop can handle anything with the Z so hopefully I can get the insurance to send it there. The agent said a hit and run wouldn’t effect my rates. Well it’s annoying, at least it isn’t significant. I’m getting one of those bumper buddy things to cover it if I have to put it anywhere, I can hide it all under the cover.

I would go Apeshit ov every car in the area if that happened to my Gran Torino but it would take a lot of force to do that to the Gran Torino.

I successfully drove a rental car from the hotel to the parking garage through the Kansas City blizzard several years ago. Someone backed into it while it was parked in the garage.

On a more serious note, I have 3 cars and 2 spaces. Dickwads in my neighborhood love to complain if I keep the third car parked in a visitor space for more than a day, even though I have a visitor pass.

Had a wild Hair of a thought get 1/4" steel and make a stock looking bumper but reinforced. Save original bumper for shows and stuff. Also save the body work, with some bars that extend up on both sides of license plate. Maybe do it in front also. That way I would have some protection if our bumpers don’t match up.

Well it is the same body mostly. The metal is thicker and heavier on a 280 and they put massive bumpers on them like the Jaaaags. The larger engine isn’t really an improvement because it was so heavy and crap injection. There is a reason the 240 beat Porsche in rallies in 70 and 71.
